Standing in the isle looking at shoes – A “perfectly” designed display of black and red shoes obviously for boys…. and pink shoes obviously for girls… ๐Ÿ™

Little did I know that in this moment our lives were about to change.

Here is Chan at 2 years old- he saw these pink shoes and he had to have them. He tried on the black and red ones ran in them and then proceeded to the pink and black ones (I told him they didnโ€™t have his size) he found the matching box and said, โ€œlook!! They have them!โ€ He was brokenhearted when I informed him that he couldn’t have the shoes…
I am not proud of this moment… I didn’t know what I didn’t know at the time. I am however thankful that it only took a couple of minutes before that answer turned in to a yes. It took him a minute to catch his little breath and wipe the tears and calm himself down, but as soon as he was calm enough to realize that the shoes were his his little heart exploded with happiness!
๐ŸŒˆ We have learned so much and continue to learn and grow. We are so thankful for this journey! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’• This isnโ€™t always an easy road, but we will continue to make a way for our sweet #gendernonconformingย child.
